10 YEARS OF KINKOID

10 YEARS OF HAREM HEROES

Where We’ve Been, and Where We’re Going

2016  ·  2026

🎉  A Word from Rosso > Founder of Kinkoid & Amilova

Before anything else, I want to speak to you directly, not as a studio, but as the guy who started this.

I’m genuinely, personally happy. The support you’ve given us moves me more than I can say!

We started from less than nothing 10 years ago, with burnout and debt, but with a crazy idea: a parodic hentai game that was hot, wild, comical, AND positive.
Clear red lines about respect.
Real pleasure, no violence, a little hippie world of our own.

It began as a parody of Alice in Wonderland.

Follow the Rabbit > follow Bunny > obvious, right? 🙂

And then, without us even planning it, it became an Isekai 😀

From 2016 to 2026, what started as a crazy idea has now grown into 10+ games, thousands of characters to collect, a team of 40+ full-time talents, and hundreds of artists contributing to the art of our games.

Players, contributors, team, supporters, to all of you THANK YOU!!!
These 10 years feel like a dream come true.

And it’s just the first chapter of our story, that extends beyond games with manga & comics and everything transmedia that we want to build around AMILOVA.

More about our origin story, where we are now, and where we’re going.

I’ve been passionate about manga and comics my whole life, and back in 2010, before any of our games existed, I built AMILOVA > a home for artists, fans, and communities around digital manga.
Our games were born from that same passion. So when you see us working on AMILOVA today, it’s not a side project > it’s us connecting the dots of everything we started.

We started all those projects self-funded.
And in 2026, we’re still an independent studio.

We live exclusively thanks to dedicated players and a team that creates the magic.

Small and indie means we answer to no masters, and we have a lot of freedom.

It also means limited firepower.

I’m not looking for excuses > just telling you our reality.

One more thing, said plainly: in 10 years, we haven’t always delivered what we promised.
Some things we over-announced.
Some things we under-delivered.
I know trust has been damaged, and I won’t pretend otherwise.
The only way back is listening and delivering, bit by bit.
This letter is the first bit.

We’re forever grateful for the love we’ve received since 2016.

AND the next chapter is already in motion.

We want to keep building our games and delighting you with great stories and hot characters. It’s our passion and our mission. We love it, and we love you, dear players!

We’re also growing the studio beyond NSFW, because anime, hentai, and ecchi live in connected worlds, and we want to welcome more fans into them. The challenge is doing that while keeping the quality high on every game we already have. That means doing the splits like JCVD 😀
That’s exactly what we intend to do > everything 🙂

10 YEARS ANNIVERSARY
Upgrading HH and the other games.
Polishing Midara.
Releasing a new game Hentai Pornstar Harem 😉
Our first participation in GAMESCOM with new games!

Exciting news ;).

This letter will give you more details about the general direction of our studio, and soon you’ll also have a communication specific game per game!

BIG BIG THANKS ❤️

Rosso

🎉  The Anniversary: More Than One Big Month

Of course, there will be a celebration this summer: events, promotions, the kind of party 10 years deserves.

We want that <3

But we want this anniversary to be more than one big month of events and promos. We want to celebrate HH by showing you where it’s going > a new direction built around intimacy and your connection with the girls.

So here’s the way to think about the timing. The anniversary isn’t a single date or a single month. It’s a direction we’re going to unveil and let you play, in stages, starting this summer.

In a matter of weeks, we’ll go from telling you about it to putting it in your hands.

We’re not chasing a deadline on a calendar. We’d rather take the time to get it right, with you, than rush something out to hit a date.
We’ll involve you in testing, listen to what you tell us, and improve fast.

That’s the deal we want with you for the next 10 years.

💜  Our Gift to You: A New Way to Connect

Our gift to the community isn’t something brand new. It’s something you already loved, finally built the way it always should have been: your connection with the girls.

We’re reviving and completely reinventing the Harem Messenger. If you remember it, you know it had a great idea behind it, but it was never developed the way it deserved. The numbers tell us players still visit it today, even hidden in the menu. The touching and mini-scenes from HentaiClicker were among its most loved features. This was always part of HH’s DNA > we’re restoring it, properly this time.

Let’s be precise about what it is, because it matters:

  • It’s a scripted experience, written by humans. Not an AI chatbot, not an LLM girlfriend app. Real authored stories, real personality, real scenes > with its own evolving story, in a new style.
  • It’s built around a curated cast of many of your favorite girls, growing over time. Quality of connection over quantity > each girl in it gets real depth, real writing, real moments. Chatting, touching, dates, affection, personal scenes > and richer formats as we get them right. The experience will start with about 10 girls, and will extend little by little, but it won’t be 1000+ girls.
  • And it’s optional and additive. If intimacy isn’t your style and you’re here for the competition and the collection > nothing changes for you. Your loops stay untouched. This is a new layer for those who want it, not a replacement for anything.

(We say “girls” for simplicity > we plan to extend this to GH in time <3)

🧭  The Next 10 Years of HH

We want to be clear, because this is a genuine shift. For the years ahead, we’re focusing our energy on deepening your connection with the girls. Rather than adding more disconnected systems, we want each major addition to deepen the girls, the story, and your relationship with them.

And let’s be honest about what “no more disconnected systems” means: HH already has a lot of systems > Skills, Equipment, Elements, Skins, Blessings > and we know they’re not all explained as well as they should be. Going deeper also means making what already exists clearer and better connected, not just adding new layers.

This is also something we know how to do well. We’ve done versions of it before, players appreciated it, and we have a huge amount of ideas to make it genuinely special this time.

Alongside this, we’re reframing the story across the games. In HH, we’re currently in the elemental arc, with the hero preparing to face Liberti. That arc will conclude over the next few worlds, and then we’ll begin something new > returning to a more parodic, more goofy tone, closer to the spirit of early HH. The plan is to have enough story to carry HH for another 10 years, and to write it better than ever.

And because each game deserves its own conversation: after this letter, we’ll publish one communication per game, focused on where each game is going in story and content.

⏱️  Everything about HPH – Hentai Pornstar Harem

Yes, a new game is coming!

This one’s actually been in our minds since… 2016! When we created HH, we started immediately thinking about other games that could work with our gameplay.
Gay version was obvious, so we released GH in 2017.
Comics version with CXH.
Then a hentai game collecting hentai styled pornstars… that was the original idea, but it was too close to HH and technically challenging… so we made PSH instead, based on a picture/Video concept :).
In 2026, technology is making it easier to make this project come true, and here comes Hentai Pornstar Harem :).
Story of PSH, but art and girls are all HENTAI :).
Gameplay is similar to what you know on HH, but it’s portrait and browser.
It will be a fresh experience that will delight those who like hentai and/or pornstars ;).

A word on the art direction, because it matters: we want HPH to have its own look, distinct from both HH and PSH. The target is something close to Webtoons > semi-realistic, with a fantasy feel. Early feedback from players has been positive and genuinely exciting, so we believe we’re on the right track.

Here’s the roadmap:

  • We’re currently polishing the girls, experimenting with hentai videos and animations, and building the worlds.
  • The private alpha should be testable between the end of June and early July.
  • Then, depending on your feedback and our QA, the game becomes playable > as soon as possible this summer 😉

The intimacy experience debuts here first. Once it’s solid, it comes to HH > as a curated experience, rolled out with care, then expanding to other games over time.

HPH will be a browser game, portrait, optimised for mobile but also playable on desktop.
Same casual gameplay family you know from HH, set in the PSH world, fully reimagined in hentai.
A mix of illustrations and videos, with sound and voices.

We’re polishing the content hard so it reaches a WOW quality that will make you all drool :). We’ve started sharing before/after of the artists’ rework > judge with your own eyes, and there’s much more coming.

If you want to be one of our beta testers, you can join us on Discord!

⚔️  Midara: Still Cooking, and Getting Much Better

Let’s talk about Midara, because it’s an important game to us. Midara is still a young game with lots of potential.

Our intention is a mobile-first experience, more tactical gameplay, and high-quality art.

Yet as it stands today, it’s imperfect, and we know that thanks to player feedback.

We had hoped beta testing would let us polish it fully, but real player exposure revealed what internal testing couldn’t: where it shines, and what still needs work.

The good news: we ran a survey with the Nutaku players and the feedback was outstanding > high quality, detailed, genuinely useful, even if brutally honest. There’s a lot to improve, but now we have a roadmap that matches players’ expectations.
We’re applying it.
We’re upgrading the story, adding more erotic content, making it more special, and improving how it’s presented.
We’re also fixing the single biggest blocker: there’s currently no tutorial, so new players get lost. That’s being solved as a priority.
And this isn’t “someday” > a big wave of improvements is landing between the end of June and early July. On top of that, the Midara .com version is arriving early July (around the 1st or 2nd week, depending on debugging, QA, and quality). For what’s close, we can be precise. For the bigger direction, we won’t fake a date > but Midara, you’ll feel moving very soon.

And a big decision.

We’re going to stop maintaining Mobile Battler (MB) and put that energy into Midara instead. We want to focus everyone’s attention on one game we can make truly great, rather than splitting our audience.

Midara is the one we’re betting on for the long run, and we’re currently working on the .com version of the game.

Don’t worry > Mobile Battler won’t disappear

Like HentaiClicker, it stays playable for those who love it. But the real adventure, and our energy, moves to Midara.

And MB players won’t be left behind.

Your progression, purchases, and account value will be generously compensated in Midara.

We’re still working out exactly what can carry over and what can’t, but either way, you’ll be taken care of.

The MB story lives on inside Midara as a parallel adventure, bringing potentially over 100 girls and more than 10 worlds along with it.

We’re selecting the best of them now and checking what needs an art refresh. More soon.

🎮  One Universe, Each Game Its Own Identity

Inside the HHverse, every game gets a clear identity > real, different experiences, not variations of the same thing.

Midara leans into mid-core tactics for everyone > more battle, more strategy from the first session. That’s its lane.

HH stay casual at the core, focused on intimacy, connection, and story > and yes, deeply tactical at the top: HH PvP and high-level play are real strategy, and we know it. Midara makes tactics the heart of the whole game; HH keeps them as the summit of yours.

Two very different experiences, one universe, each free to become the best version of itself.

In time, every game develops its own lane, so you get different gameplays, and we satisfy a wider range of players.

And here’s something we’re genuinely excited about: in the coming weeks, we’ll publish a communication for each game, built hand in hand with each game’s art director, on where its story and art are heading. Many of you have asked the real question > “Are these games going to continue? Does the story go further?” The answer is yes. We’re now writing the scenarios more deeply and structuring the worlds, so for the first time, we have the visibility to tell you where CxH, GH, and the others are really going.

And for GH, a big one. For years, GH has been tied to HH in a mirror structure that limited what we could do with it. We’re finally breaking that dependency > which opens the door to things the GH community has been asking for, for a long time. We’re also accelerating the quest rhythm and changing the format. This is a deep change (GH and HH are heavily interlinked in code), so it won’t happen overnight > but we’re committed to making it real within the next six months.

🔧  Performance and Bugs: We Haven’t Forgotten the Existing Games

One thing we want to say clearly: building new games and new features does not mean we stop improving what’s already there. The games you’ve been playing for years matter just as much as what’s coming next.

We know the performance issues are real, especially for the biggest harems of our most loyal players. If you’ve built a large collection over the years and your pages got slower to load > you’re right, and you were right to raise it.

So here’s where it actually stands, not just words: the work has started.
Thanks to our Mods who are directly relaying players’ feedback to our tech team, we’ve done a deep technical evaluation, the first optimisations are shipping, and we will continue fixing it all bit by bit during the next months, it’s planned.
We’re working on it together with our moderators and script community, on real accounts that reproduce the problem.

Fixing this is what “quality” means to us, so please fill out our survey.

We will continue asking you what your pain points are so we can build a real QoL roadmap and keep you satisfied for the next 10 years ;).

🤖  A Word on AI: More Game, Human Soul

Let’s talk about AI in our studio.
Because the whole industry is using it > big studios and small ones > and no need to pretend otherwise.
We have been experimenting with AI for making animations, modifications, variations, and automations.
We have actually used AI for animating PSH characters for many years now.
To us, AI is mostly a big buzzword that could be replaced by “Technology”.
And yes, we always try to use the latest technology to make our games better & faster.

But it always remains humans who direct technology, and not the opposite.

We believe that to you, what really matters is that we give you the BEST GAME EXPERIENCE.
We believe that “slop is slop” and bad quality can be achieved by robots, AI, but humans can also make slop.

For the record, here’s how we see it.
When 3D arrived, it transformed animation studios. It changed tools, pipelines, jobs, budgets, and even the craft of many artists.
But it never changed the real question: is the movie good? Does it move people? Does it have soul?

There are 3D masterpieces and 3D trash.

The technology never decided that. Humans did.

AI is the same kind of shift.
The difference is that it can produce a lot of slop very fast.
It can scale very fast, bad art.
But as said before, humans can produce slop too > slowly, expensively, and poorly crafted by hand.
We know that better than anyone: in 10 years, we have not always made beautiful things, and pretending otherwise would be ridiculous.
There are no bonus points for hand-made slop, and no automatic penalty for tech-assisted quality.

The line was never human vs machine > it’s made-with-care vs made-to-cut-corners.

AI slop happens when studios use tech to spend less, replace people, and pocket the difference. That’s greed-centric.
We use technology to give you more.
Our approach is player-centric: use the new tools to make the final game richer and more alive than the old pipeline could ever produce.

That’s what HPH must prove. We’re using AI to Manga-fy pornstars, from picture to illustration.
But the technological part is a tiny portion of the work, most of the magic happens with the artist painting emotions & details & polish on top of what has been mangafied.
Technology is also making it possible to offer you MORE.
More scenes. More movement. More interaction. More story.
The machine helps with quantity, but SOUL is forged by strong artists, writers, and designers who control all tools.

What stays human is the part that matters most: no generative AI writes our stories or creates our canon art.
Our stories are authored by writers. We tried, and robots are bad at writing sexy & funny 🙂
Our characters are designed, corrected, redrawn, finished, and judged by artists > you’ve seen the before/after of HPH’s rework. The raw output is not enough. The human pass is where the emotion appears.

And we know our own flaws. We want better storytelling, better art consistency, more beautiful content > the things you’ve pushed us on for years. Technology helps us raise the standard. It doesn’t replace the standard.

TL;DR: technology in the kitchen, humans deciding what’s served, and you getting a better meal because of it. The creativity, the craft, the funny, the sexy, the soul > that stays human. That’s a promise.

🎪  Gamescom: Come Meet Us in Person

This is a big one for us, and we want to make some real noise about it. We will have a booth at Gamescom (26-30 August 2026 in Cologne), and our presence there is a major moment for the studio. Eight members of the team will be there for the full week, from Monday to Friday.
This is not a quiet appearance. It’s one of the most important events of our year.

Our big reveals at Gamescom will be AMILOVA, updated versions of MangaRPG,  and Amour Agent > and two brand-new stories we haven’t announced yet.

AMILOVA is our dream project turning real. A creator-driven transmedia platform where stories flow between comics, games, and the worlds we build together. It’s where we started back in 2010, what you supported on Kickstarter last year, and at Gamescom, we’ll finally show what it’s becoming.

MangaRPG and Amour Agent are getting a revamp for the event, with new features and art.

And the two new stories? We’re deep in story and concept art right now, and the games will be playable as demos at Gamescom. That’s all we’ll say for now > come see them first 😉

And here’s the part that matters most to us: if you’re a player and you’ll be anywhere near Gamescom, we want to meet you. Inside the event or outside it, we’re available to any player willing to say hello. Come to the booth, test our games, talk with the team, see exclusive things, and yes, we’ll bring goodies for players who come to meet us. We’ve met players at Gamescom before, and it was one of the highlights for us. Send us a message, and we’ll make it happen. You’re more than welcome.

📖  Amilova: The Plan Is Bigger Than The Platform

Some of you backed Amilova through the Kickstarter last year, and you deserve the full picture > including an apology for the silence. We went quiet for too long, and silence breeds doubt. That’s on us, and this is us fixing it.

So here’s the truth. AMILOVA was never just a website > it’s a transmedia plan: stories that live as comics, games, and worlds that feed each other. The platform upgrade is delayed, yes. But we made a deliberate choice: games first, because games are what will have the biggest impact short term > for players, for the stories, and for funding everything else. The new games we’re revealing at Gamescom are part of the AMILOVA strategy, not a detour from it.

Presenting all of this at one of the biggest gaming conventions in the world is not a small commitment. It’s us putting the project on stage, in public, in front of the whole industry > and in front of you, the backers. That’s our proof of life, and our accountability.

To build this properly, we’re organizing the company into two homes. Kinkoid stays the home of HH, GH, PSH, Midara, and our adult games > the games you love, made by the team you know. Our family-friendly projects will be developed around the brand AMILOVA & CHIBIPHOENIX (Amilova, MangaRPG, Shojo RPG, Amour Agent) without weakening Kinkoid.
Each side gets the structure, focus, and resources it needs. We’ll explain more at Gamescom.

For full transparency, our original idea was to have SFW & NSFW all on Amilova, as Steam does.
BUT
We are discussing with major investors to get big fundings that will help us develop the full vision of AMILOVA. We need big fundings to hire more talents, tech, and artists.
And our discussion last year proved that the NSFW part of our games, as much as we love it, is a challenge for investors and their regulations.
Most big investors have strict rules that say they can’t invest in “Gambling, alcohol, cigarettes, weapons, and porn”.
We had promising discussions with big names who loved our AMILOVA vision, BUT discussions stopped when mentioning NSFW.
Small setback, which delayed us because we need to adapt to reality: we are forced to split cleanly between NSFW & SFW.
That will mean 2 studios, 2 teams, 2 networks of games… It’s challenging, and it’s the only way we can make AMILOVA a reality while maintaining the games you already love.

That’s maximum truth for you, thanks for your support and understanding, after months working on the financial structure for cleanly splitting studios, we’re now ready to contact investors again, and we believe GAMESCOM will be the culminating point 😉

❤️  KINKOID IS ALIVE!!! YES.

Let’s address it directly, because we’ve heard this rumor for about ten years: “Kinkoid is dying”. There are always people who’d like to see us fail.

The reality is simple.

We’re fine. We’re alive. The games continue. That’s not a question.

Here’s the real version of the last ten years. The first six were a wave of growth: more games, more girls, more events, more mechanics, more more more…  the mythic girls, the events, GH, PSH, ComixHarem, lots of experiments (some worked, some didn’t, like HentaiClicker).

Then, around 2022, the world got harder for everyone, and so did our market: a tougher economy that hit players and studios alike, and an industry full of layoffs and closures.
We grew a bit too fast in the COVID years, so since 2022/2023 we adapted > leaner, smarter, more focused, always true to our values & ethics.
There have been hard times. Many people in the team had to leave.
We started with 3 founders, now we’re 2, and that separation that happened last summer was intense on many levels. We’re still friends, but it was tough and had many implications on how we do things.

Hard. Harder yes. But harder is not dying.

We believe we’ve gone through the toughest part of our restructuring.
We believe we’re just about to bring you the best experience, more art, more games, more fun.
We know we have the trust to rebuild.
Ten years means ten years of memories > the great ones, and the times we let you down.
We’re not asking you to forget the second kind.
We’re asking you to judge us on what we deliver from here, bit by bit.

We honestly think our best era is ahead of us!!!

The past 4 years have been tough. But they also taught us a lot. They forced us to mature at all levels.
The easy years are behind the whole industry.
Players want more and better, and that’s fair > that’s exactly what we intend to give you!!!!

Ten years in, the best is yet to come.

Challenge accepted.

Thank you for everything. Let’s build the next ten together.

If you have any questions, we will have a Q&A at the end of July. You can leave your questions in Discord or in this form.
